Completing the final stages of testing and development, the Caparo T1 high-performance sports car is soon to be the fastest accelerating car in the world. The T1's very light (just 500 kg) and aerodynamic body gives it the framework and style of a Formula One race car.

The Caparo T1 uses a custom made 3.5-litre Caparo V8 engine produces 575bhp (425kW) at 10,500rpm and 420Nm (310lbft) at 9,000rpm. It's a very impressive specimen - in fact, it has allowed the T1 to be the first production model to achieve 1,000 bhp-per-tonne. Oh, and did we mention that the car can do 0-60 in less than 2.5 seconds?
