Zenn Motor Company's ZENN car stands for zero emissions, no noise. And that's exactly what it delivers. The earth-friendly neighborhood electric vehicle, which tops out at just 25 mph, is a viable and increasingly popular alternative to gasoline-powered low speed vehicles.

The ZENN car currently charges in about 4 hours and gets about 35 miles per charge. The cost of charging the vehicle from a standard outlet is only a few cents per mile, or perhaps $5 - $10 per month. If powered from residential solar panels, then of course the car becomes essentially 100% free to operate. You also never have to worry about an oil change with the ZENN.

A production ZENN car is already available for $12,000 to $16,000, depending on options. For those with a short commute, or a limited driving range, the ZENN is a good environmentally-friendly option.
